Getting to Kinblethmont
Step 01
Fly into Edinburgh
Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is your gateway to Scotland. Direct transatlantic flights are available from most major US hubs — New York, Chicago, Boston, and Atlanta all have good options. We recommend booking early as September is peak travel season.

The Adventure Continues
Our wedding weekend may be coming to an end, but our adventure is just getting started. After our stay at Kinblethmont, we're planning to continue traveling through Europe — and we'd love for anyone who wants to join us along the way.
We're still putting our route together, so nothing is set in stone just yet. Over the coming months, we'll be adding a map with our tentative itinerary and destinations as our plans come together.
Have a favorite city, hidden gem, or must-see destination? Let us know — we'd love to hear your recommendations.

Travel Tips
Pack for Scottish weather
September in Angus can be glorious — or it can be brisk and breezy. Bring layers, a light waterproof, and comfortable shoes for walking on estate grounds. The ceremony may be outdoors.
Currency & payments
Scotland uses British pounds sterling (GBP). Cards are widely accepted everywhere, but it's worth having a small amount of cash for taxis and smaller shops in Arbroath.
Mobile & data
UK SIM cards are inexpensive and easy to pick up at Edinburgh Airport. Alternatively, check with your carrier about international roaming rates before you travel.
Driving in Scotland
If you hire a car, remember that Scotland drives on the left. Roads around Arbroath and the estate are narrow country lanes — take it slow and enjoy the scenery.
Passport & entry
US citizens do not need a visa to visit the UK for stays under 6 months. Make sure your passport is valid for the duration of your trip. The UK's Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) scheme may apply — check gov.uk for the latest requirements.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and lost luggage. Scotland is safe, but peace of mind is worth it.
